Finale was a 15 ship Bonanza formation flight. No Mooneys. I did get to ride right seat in Delta 3 (#15)

Final practice session today.  N1084L with Mt. Baker in background.  Andrew and Ben heading for home.  Met at Bremerton. Brenda saw us fly over our house heading to Port Angeles where we landed before returning to Sequim to debrief.

Very Nice, I am based out of Port Angeles and had no clue that the Olympic Peninsula was representing like this, I hopefully will get a chance to see you around sometime, I often land at Sequim, great place to practice simulated engine out landings.

The newly formed Pacific & Mountain Northwest squadron of the Mooney Caravan invites you to our first NW Advanced Formation Clinic in Yakima, WA (KYKM) September 28 – 30, 2018.  The clinic will be open to Mooneys, Bonanzas, RVs and other airplanes of similar performance.

Alan,

how much flight time was involved with that?

Looks a bit like it could be tiring... in a good way.

Best regards,

-a-

That flight was 1.5 hours total.  We landed at KCLM and did a lead swap so about 45 minutes each of flying wing/lead.

Amillet,

Next time you plan to do some formation flying, please let me know a few days in advance.  I'd love to do some of that.  Weather, airplane, and my schedule permitting I'd love to fly over or meet you someplace to get a little wing time.

I have no formation time in Mooney's but I've got quite a bit of formation time in T37's, T38's, T33's, F106's, and F15's.

Two opportunities to train for formation flying in the NW for the caravan or just to learn formation flying for the fun of it.

May 31st - June 2nd in Spokane there is a Cirrus to Oshkosh clinic that some of us Caravan folks will be at. https://www.cirruspilots.org/copa/regions/formationflying/c/e/763.aspx#details

June 20th-23rd B2Osh outs on a great clinic in Bremerton WA. There are currently 6 Mooney’s signed up!

Please reach-out to myself or @FlyTester our Squadron leader if you have any questions!
