N231SM
"U" channel question- around windows: panels to windows. I have a few areas that are approaching ½" gap. The products below from AS are black. I'd rather have white. Has anyone tried these products and can you paint them? I tried Plane Plastics already. No joy 3/8" Another source? Thanks http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/channel05-11202.php?recfer=3740 http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/uchannel.php
Yetti
Rustoleum Satin Nickle with the fancy sprayer top stuck to mine. There is a similar material at most auto parts stores. There are some threads on this topic here on Mooneyspace.

He used a silicone U channel on mine. Very flexible and easy to install. The color he used on mine was an off white color. Maybe it comes in white. You can see it on the edge of this panel. It was used here around the door and on all the window tratements. i used it on the lower part of my door frame:
bradp
I saw some suitable stuff in an auto upholstery supply shop. Also check eBay. This might work: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F221589782862
CaptRJM
I'd suggest trying Brown Aircraft Supply. They have all kinds of U Channel in white. When I installed all new plastics on my plane this is where I got most of the flexible trim. http://www.brownaircraft.com/

laytonl
I beleive you can special order the AS stuff in White. An automotive shop may have a suitable alternative too. Lee
