N231SM Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 Just made my baggage door cover nice and pretty with new paint. Only problem is when it is installed, the bar rubs on the cover. The bar also rubs on the alum trim and is gouging that out. See pics Tks
CaptRJM Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 I had the same problem after putting in all new interior plastic and door seal welt. A friend of mine had some 1/32” Kydex sheet. We cut a piece of it large enough to be secured by the existing frame screws and cover the welt. It has worked perfectly. I guess it’s been 7 years and there are just some minor scratches in the Kydex.
