Stnelson903
Anybody got a WORKING KX-170B sitting around collecting dust they would want to part with cheaply? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yetti
Do you need the Nav part to work?
carusoam
Have you seen the stack of radios @Alan Fox has for sale? There might be something that makes more sense than an old KX170B... At least put that idea next to what you find for KX170Bs. Alan might have KX170Bs too... Best regards, -a-
RobertGary1
They're getting harder to find. Many of them had the self-destruct feature that would break the nav tune gears when you retracted the retainer to remove it. The gears haven't been made in decades. -Robert

Yetti
The other thing that is not as durable is the power switch. Also you might want to pull it out and push it back in several times. That will get the junk off the contacts and it may start working.

Jerry 5TJ
I took mine out a few miles over the Atlantic and dropped it. Made a pretty good splash visible from 3,000 feet. 1
