Jim Peace
Just had installed a JPI 900. Have not flown it yet. I notice that the MAP is 30.6 engine off and the altimeter at the sea level airport was about 30.30 I know about the chart in the installation manual that gives correction numbers for many altitudes above sea level. Mechanic and technician will look at it in the morning. Just want to be sure form this knowledgeable group that at sea level if the altimeter setting is 30.30 then my MAP with the engine off should be about 30.30 and not 30.6. KSMooniac
Your MAP will be lower than altimeter setting if you're not at sea level. The installation manual has a chart for the correction factor that should have been programmed in to the unit during installation.Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk
