ksmooney
Good Afternoon fellow Mooniacs, I am relatively new to the forum and have been noticing a lot of users on this website have neat color coated maps for their signature lines. I am sure there are threads that explain how y'all do that, but I am unable to find them! I would like to be able to start color coating a map on where I fly the Mooney, especially since I am going to be doing an across the US cross-country this month. KSMooniac
Another Kansas Mooney! Welcome to the site, and consider joining the Flying Monkeys squadron to learn and practice formation flying. There is a clinic coming up in May if you're interested.Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk
skydvrboy
As a new KS Mooney flier... I'm getting this on my calendar. Never done any formation flying, but have always thought it would be fun to learn... and to find a Mooney specific clinic only 30 minutes away by Mooney!

jlunseth
What I want to know is how the really cool pilots have figured out how to squeeze maps of Canada and the Carribean or Mexico into their signature lines?

I didn't know they had this now till your question prompted another look. But the same folks that provide the visitedstatesmap also now provide a comprehensive map for North America which brings in CENAM as well: http://visitednorthamericamap.com/ Prior to this, I used this for Canada http://visitedstatesmap.com/visited-provinces.php and this for Mexico http://www.visitedmexicomap.com/ and then combined them without CENAM and the islands. They now have Europe covered too, but nothing for Asia yet. Combining them seems to keep the footprint smaller, but I may have to do some experimenting. jlunseth
I haven’t had a problem finding the maps. The problem I have had is sticking more than one in the signature line. Is there some magic to that?

Is there some magic to that? That what I do, just combine the multiple graphics files into one graphic file layer out the way you like.
