Thanks Tom, we appreciate the followup. I just uploaded the tech info on the shower of sparks system in case someone has this issue in the future.

Mike, the two parts that commonly fail are the capacitor and the points.  Both are relatively inexpensive and available through Aviall.  Perhaps someone could provide the part numbers and save "someone" the time of looking the numbers up.  Replacing the entire SOS box may be unnecessary.

That's what I did after replacing and or repairing several key switches on various aircraft over the years.

does this work with shower of sparks?  looking at the 15000 I dont see what turns on the shower?  or does pushing the start button turn on the shower and the starter at the same time?
