Looking for a 252

It's a runout engine. Only 135 hours from TBO. Original pain/interior. KAP150 autopilot. GNS430W. The one thing that is a nice upgrade that not all of them have, is the altitude pre-select.  It's a nice looking airplane, but there are some knocks against it.

Wonder why that one hasn’t been snapped up looks like a good one at first glance...

If you’re shopping, get the logs and look at the time on the airplane over the last 10 years...

great opportunity for a low time 252, but I think it it’s a project.

Nah not shopping, happy with the R, but if I were it would be a 252. And I’d want it pretty original like this too, ready for the new batch of panel upgrades like hopefully the Dynon HDX, and I like to buy runout so I control the overhaul and break in... now that all assumes the price is right.

If you can find one with two alternators they are more desirable. Most of the ones for sale lately have had just the one alternator, even though most of the 252's made had two. (Look on the breaker panel for a circuit breaker for ALT 2. Also the red rocker switcher on the lower left panel with have an "L" and an "R" on the split switch.)
