It is the God-given right of every aviator to bitch, complain and generally grouse about life.  It says so right on our certificates.  The print is VERY small, so it's hard to see, but Orville and Wilbur had it inserted.

Are you complaining about the font the FAA uses?

These threads scare the sh*t out of me.

A new Hartzell for my 400 was north of 40K, an MT was 15K.  Under 10K would seem like winning the lottery.

  • 1 month later...

Update.  Hartzell called today and said the new prop is being drop shipped today.  The shipping debacle cost me an extra 6 weeks, and I've been grounded since late August.  In retrospect, I wish I had had the foresight to have pickled the engine.

...Bad humor alert....

Sounds a lot like a ground strike for the prop...  does Lycoming require a tear down For that?

See what you get for (insert thread title here)...

Props can take a long time to deliver.  Engines seem to be almost ready, sitting on the shelf in comparison...

Months vs. weeks....

Good luck with the recovery.  Hopefully, Hartzel can put you at the front of the line...

Best regards,

Well, I don't know about complaining, but every time my plane is gone for any length of time I get depressed.  it is weird.  I might not fly it for a month, but that's fine as long as I know I can if I want.  If I can't, because it is on someone else's schedule, I hate it, I just get depressed.
