ArtVandelay
Upgrading from the 830. I’ve been exploring doing this, are you keeping the 830 probes? Last I heard they would not allow this, how many hours did the shop estimate?TIA

Chase Larabee and I spoke about it briefly about it. But I’m just buying the complete 900 and will install the new probes. I’ve read they do deteriorate over time and might as well be as accurate as I can. That allowed me to sell the 830 as a complete unit as well. I’m having Barry Foote with Av-Com do the install. He did my full Avidyne adsb install. And was very happy. We are also installing a G5, and a newly cut panel, and a 406mhz ELT so I haven’t seen the line item but he scheduled me for three days for all the work. He is a mobile installer and I’ll have the plane apart when he gets here and will help with it. Sorry didn’t quite answer your question but having all that done in three days I’m sure he could install a complete 900 in a day then a half a day to program it.
