No. You'd have to buy a 12V to 28V converter to use this version 430W. Only the Comm side of the 430 is 28 volts. The unit will power on and everything else will work other than Comms on 14v. I have the 14v to 28v converter in my airplane and I have the system wired so 14v powers the system, and the 28v powers only the comm portion of the 430, I changed to this set up after I had a failure of my converter and I lost everything.
