M20R for Flight Simulators

I don't know if many of you guys are customers of Microsoft's Flight Simulator X or Lockheed Martin's Prepar3d flight simulators, but a vendor called Alabeo has been working on an M20R Ovation with steam gauges for them. They are probably a day or two from release and of course, I'm going to buy it. They make beautiful models but FS is very lacking in control qualities that separates these planes. They all fly the same so I wonder if they've made it feel Mooney fast.

What about X-Plane?  I'm going to their website to look up and see if the support that platform.

While doing my instrument work two years ago I bought X-Plane and found a M20J add-on. But just like Raptor said, the flight qualities were just not there, and I spent hours fussing with adjusting the settings. My main complaint  is that I could never get the pitch set to work right as it was always much too sensitive, although the roll was fine. The panel was very close to mine and I purchased a copy of RealityXP's Garmin 530 add-on, which works fantastic at simulating the real thing. I didn't use the sim to practice flying the plane as much as practicing procedures, which helped me a great deal.

My rudder pedals are enter and shift-0...  I think I can get over that part.  It's the flaps/nose down tendency I would like to have added to my FsX sim.... to go with my 310hp bump...

Jimmy G had a more realistic sim for sale a while ago....

Best regards...

The cool part is the navigational accuracy for the IR type flights...Throttle and MP gauge on the same screen would be nice... I need a couple of screens for that...

Craig had some pictures of his sim set-up including four or five screens....

Best regards,
