THANK YOU GARMIN.  Starting to have some fun with the Virb that I won at AirVenture.  The camera's altimeter is at times about 100ft off, but the picture is amazing.  Win have to connect audio next!

What nd filter are you using? What number?

Nice landings...  The stall warning comes on as if it were cued.

Gonna need a second VIRB to show the alignment with the runway lines from the outside.  :)

GPS derived altitude is defintiely not the same as pressure derived altitude.  It should match pretty well when the Kohlsman's window is set to the pressure and the pressure is 29.92".

Thanks for sharing the video.

Really?  ??

I found this to help complicate things:

GPS has transformed how altitude at any spot is measured. GPS uses an ellipsoid coordinate system for both its horizontal and vertical datums. An ellipsoid—or flattened sphere—is used to represent the geometric model of the earth.

Oooh....

and there is that technical detail too!

So, are we getting closer to using GPS derived altitude?

ADSB with a WAAS source puts us  a bit closer...

Just need everybody in the world to get on with the new standard.

Set the auto-land system to 'on'.  :)

Best regards,
