khedrei
I have a Centry 21 autopilot which is coupled to my Garmin 430W. I have only had the plane for 7 months, but I had used it quite a few times on the nav function when I first got it and it worked great. A 2 hour flight from Montreal to Toronto and it followed my flight plan perfectly in nav mode. Lately it does not seem to want to follow in Nav mode. I am making sure that my heading bug is lined up to my actual heading before turning it on because I know that it didn't like it when it wasn't and as long as it was lined up I had no issue. Today it didn't even seem to want to follow the heading bug in heading mode. I have made sure my HI is set to the compass. Any thoughts? carusoam
Similar discussions around here today.... have you removed and reseated any of the nav equipment? contact cleaner seems to be selling well around MS. PP thoughts only... Best regards, -a-
N201MKTurbo
You have to troubleshoot things in order. first turn on the autopilot without heading. Verify that the yoke moves with the roll knob. Next set the radio coupler to heading and engage the heading mode the yoke should correct to the heading bug. When the heading bug is left of center thr yoke should move left and visa versa.
khedrei
I will try contact cleaner and reseating the avionics. There is no roll know. When the autopilot is turned on it jumps to whatever the last button was pushed. This is a picture of the model I have.
