I just had my safety airspeed switch replaced. And at $1339 for the new one, I was wondering if the switches can be rebuilt? carusoam Posted July 22, 2017 Report Share Posted July 22, 2017 They have a tendency to use industrial grade switches. The kind that work 24/7 for years in machinery... Our machines don't use them very much in the 5k hour average that our machines actually fly... Cleaning and contact corrosion fixes are probably the most used solutions for our electrical devices... Not sure if I would by another one of these things, when you don't see everyone else saying they have the same problem... these things don't seem to have a record of wearing out... I think there were two methods One was the squat switch and one was the airspeed safety. Could you convert over to the squat switch?
