He installs a fuel flow gauge and now my engine monitor is dead. Sweet.

Had a guy install a JPI450 fuel flow gauge...simple installation, no big deal. He put in an in-line fuse, didn't touch the bus board, wired to avionics master...and it sure does work! Problem is, my GEM is dead. WTF????? He thinks it might have blown a fuse on start up or during their battery-powered test. Nothing is easy, is it?

Turns out, they knocked the ground wire off while they were in there. Whew.

remember, when you work behind the panel the rule of thumb is "you will fix 1 thing and break 2 more"

I don't see how you could Knock off a properly crimped and wire supported ring terminal.

I think when he went to add a wire to the ring terminal, he pulled the nut and saw the wires all remain in place--except for one! No biggy, just 1.5 hours of time trying to find the problem.
