How did you determine that the stripper didn't damage the seal on any other screws? Yes, I need to do this too--maybe when it cools off this fall. Hank, depending on what kind of shape your old one is in you can just roll the new stuff right on top of it, takes hardly any time at all and looks great. High gloss, good grip. Yes those screws were leaking before I stripped the walk. I asked the person who started this thread if he ever had a problem with the stripper damaging his tanks using this stuff and he said no. My walk wasn’t in overly good shape, I had a few bare spots and 7 screws that were leaking. So it was a no brainer for me to strip. But if I was just freshening the walk up I agree with you I would just paint over it. Hopefully when I paint the plane I will do a matched color walk.
