New interior in my 231

Recommended Posts

While my aircraft was down for a new panel I decided to have part of the interior redone. It was a less than 2 year old interior but it was done in white and was already showing a lot of wear. I think I was able to improve the look while using colors that will wear much better than the white did.

I see that coming for my plane as well. They redid the interior in 2013. Aero Comfort did a great job but the previous owner had the seats and side panels done in a light cream or tan. The seats are showing a few stains and wear marks. I think I'll have them done in black at some point. Those are great looking seats you have, looks like the new ultra seats.

Take a bar of Ivory soap (not the liquid soap) and some warm water along with a washcloth and the light color leather should clean up nicely. Don't scrub hard, you don't need to. Don't use anything the "seals" the leather like an amorall or similar product. The best product I've ever found for keeping the leather soft and new after you've cleaned it is Hide Food. You buy it at the Jaguar dealer for Connolly Leather and it should be about $15 or you can get it online. It just restores the natural oils to the leather. Eurcerin (skin moisturizer) works well also.
