this might be the only tom cruise movie I've wanted to see since Top Gun... I'm sure it's ridiculous, but looks like a lot of aviation..

That plane is history, the pilot survived and two others died when it crashed in Colombia in 2015 while making movie. Looks good though...

The Aerostar accident was very unfortunate.  However, the real story of Barry Seal is pretty amazing.  Several books on his life.  Dennis Hopper also played Barry Seal in a similar HBO movie in the '80's.  The planes used in that movie were equally interesting.

Yeah Like Bobby Dearfield (Al Pachino) from the 80's trailers made you think it was going to be a great formula one movie. when me and a racing fan friend went to see we wondered why all the young girls in the theater. turned out to be a total chick flick love story drama with about 60 seconds of racing footage.
