aviatoreb
When I'm 101 (sing it to the tune of when I'm 64 by the Beattles - 101 is the new 64). When I'm 101 I'm going to jump out of an airplane for the first time. Just like this fellow! A vet from D-day. http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/15/europe/101-year-old-skydiver/
MooneyMitch
What a fun experience for that gentleman. Best to you and may you also live to be 101. And may the last voice you hear, be mine!

aviatoreb
Here is another age group hero: Background: in cycling the "hour record" is the most prestigious and difficult of records and at the pro level only attempted by the very best riders to race against their historical counter parts. This is on a velodrome (a banked bicycle track - about 250m per lap) they ride as far as they can in one hour. Its a test of fitness, power and focus. Current open hour record is: On 7 June 2015, Sir Bradley Wiggins broke Dowsett's record, by completing a distance of 54.526 km (33.881 mi) at the Lee Valley VeloPark in London. There are age group world records category too for the hour record. This guy Robert Marchand "broke" the age group record at age 100 (being the only person to ever attempt the record at age 100, he therefore established the record). In 2012 he went out and rode 23km in 1 hour. (14.3mph). http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/12952/Marchand-sets-100-kilometre-age-related-record-at-100-years-of-age.aspx Not satisfied, Then he did it again at 102 and smashed his record (100-104 age group). 26.927km! http://www.velonation.com/news/id/16245/robert-marchand-smashes-his-own-hour-record-at-102-years-of-age.aspx Then when he was 105, he decided to establish a 105-109 age group record (since...no one in that age group had attempted the record before. Not a lot of 105 year olds riding bicycles on the velodrome it seems - certainly not for an hour nonstop - at any speed). 22.547km (14.01mi) is the new 105-109 mark in Jan 17': http://www.bicycling.com/culture/records/105-year-old-frenchman-sets-cycling-hour-record-for-age-group I can't wait to see what he does when he's 110. Better work hard and make a good record that will stand, because I'm training too, and in 55 years I'm going to take your record if you don't make it tough enough.
