As much as I hate to be a back seat driver, maybe the ocean would have been a better deal. If he could have made it.

Tough to say. Beach would be great but not much beach there. Lotta rocks.

Yea, I went diving under the old abandon fuel pier down by the Boeing rail head. the water is about 30 feet deep and drops off rapidly from the shore. The bottom is flat and sandy and carpeted with crabs. If you could get out it would be easy to swim to shore and you would be in someone's back yard. The water is F'in cold...
