Dream to fly
Bought a front tire and received it today. It looks new but there are patches inside. Is that normal? It is a Condor 5.00-5 6ply. Part number:072-312-0.
Bart Chilcott
I've only heard great things about the Condors and told they are built by Michelin. Never heard of patches inside though. Could they be there for balance? Where did you order them from?
Dream to fly
I ordered it from aircraft spruce. They said they never heard of it but were going to have the parts dept call me in the morning as they were closing when I called.

Dream to fly
Just now, M20Doc said: That is a balancing weight. Clarence Ok. I guess they want it as true as possible before you tube it. Thank you.
carusoam
Since you are getting into this... Did you choose an airstop type of tube to go with that? there is a better tube than the others available. Inflating tires every month gets old when a better version only cost a few bucks more... there is a bad tube to avoid. The valve stem seems to fall off that one. don't forget the talc(?) You want to avoid having the tube fold up inside improperly. PP thoughts only... I haven't done this myself. Just stuff I read about on MS.
