Hanger costs w/in 1 hour of 58M?

Can any of my fellow pilots local to the southern NJ, northern DE, northern MD, and southern/southeastern PA give me any leads on the costs of a hanger per month?

I'm likely picking up a nice Mooney E soon and its a bit too nice to just tie down. Where I'm based the hangars are >$300 a month (last i checked), sold out, with a waiting list. Hard to stomach when I last flew to visit my dad in missouri and the hanger there was < $70 a month.

Location, location, location.

My hangar in WV was $100/mth; then I moved South and was happy to get one for $235 . . .

$235 sounds great! It's $400 where I am, if you go north 5 miles to Chino it's over $500, west 10 miles or so to Fullerton is over $600...and that doesn't' even come close to John Wayne...

I think John Wayne's prices have gone down since crazy movie stars are landing on their taxi ways. :D

Good Luck!! In the area you are looking you could probably repaint your plane every 5 years for some of the hangar costs.  The airports with the "lower" cost being in the $300-$400 range only have 1 runway.  Not sure the kind of flying you do but coming in IFR with only 1 runway option can really be a challenge.  I chose a tie down at KILG at $125/month (Which is also obscene) for the multiple runways and approaches not to mention all of the services on the field.

Feel free to PM me - I have had experience with 7N7 and KEVY as well.
