aaronk25
Mine is starting to annoy me. Have to push down hard and hold with pressure in full aft position to get trim to go. Defiantly a bad switch. Just looking to replace. Thanks, Aaron Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LANCECASPER
If you can find a shop that knows these switches they can be rebuilt. If it's a King switch they have three microswitches inside. I spent less than $500 rebuilding mine vs. almost three times that for a new one.

Marauder
If this is a King I have a new one , It's either a King or Century. The STEC ones are even sized on both paddles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

bradp
find a hangar fairy and they might resolder the leads or replace the micro switches - it’s 10 bucks in parts and there is a wiring diagram I recently posted for old century trim switches. jetdriven
The century trim switch is basically 3 ten dollar micro switches all stacked up. The part numbers are out there. Shouldn't be a hard fix. One triggers the relay and one each control the up and down motor.
mooneyflyfast
Also check the raised area on the thumbpiece that engages the microswitch. Mine was worn down so that it didn't engage the microswitch properly.

Actually, they are $860, but still a bit of sticker shock. I had to replace mine last year when we did the rest of the cockpit. I can pull the specifics of where I procured mine for others interested, but Aaron’s purposes, he’d be wise to take you up on this offer. Alan Fox
I know the Century was about 800 , but didn't know the King could be found for under a thousand... The Stec is available aftermarket for about
vanboom
Does anyone have one of these in the scrap pile? My switch is perfect except for one of the metal spring/clips inside has fatigued and broke. Century said the PN is 30B641-1, looks like the one on the marble countertop photo above. Thanks. carusoam
That would be @Alan Fox’s counter top... It has made a nice background for many electronic device pics... You can always ask if he has another... Best regards, -a-
