FlyWalt
Hi guys, Our family bird is at Avon Park for its annual shake down. I had reported to Phil that the factory original DG was going south quickly and he agreed with me. I wonder if anyone has a serviceable on your shelf that you would like to part with. i realize that everyone is going to tell me to install an Aspen. However, due other priorities for our cash this year I have decided to form the UCB Club :-)

Does it need to have a heading bug?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Marauder
Yes it needs to have a heading bug for the Century 4 This is what I have:It is the same one listed on this site: http://www.sigmatek.com/pages/prod_description/PD_DG_autopilot.htmlAnd on this one: https://www.mcico.com/directional-gyros-4/1u262-003-14-1u262-003-14I used it with my STEC 60-2 AP. Working when I removed it to upgrade to an Aspen. Needed the Aspen because I had nothing to drive the GTN output. Not sure what the value is. I can check with Sanford and see what he would sell it for. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Marauder
Just last week I sold a core 52D54 (4000C series) on eBay for $220 shipped, so thereabouts is the starting point.  I think they go for around $500 as used/serviceable. Jim - when said core, you mean non-functioning?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
