Thinking of joining the Mooney formation

Recommended Posts

Opps, I deleted the whole post, thinking is was just deleting my reply....... oh well,

I think is was Jerry,

I already have a bush plane, big tires and all, and use that for hunting and fishing trips, but now I'm looking for a "go fast". The mooney looks like its a tough enough plane, and priced right.

And could get a 180 or 185, which is a good all around rig, but not cheap, cant do the extremely tight stuff, and the mooney is faster.

Really, the answer is having 2 planes, and I'm half way there.

I'd like to travel down to America, and the such, and doing it at 90mph will take a lot more time, albeit a nicer view if the weather allows!

Mooneys are good on grass, gravel, clay, concrete and paved surfaces...

Some people use them on unprepared surfaces.

Some people make adjustments by removing the gear doors for taller grass.

You should feel free to continue the search for your Mooney...  :)

Take a look at the tire size and compare to your existing ride.  There is some limitations of what a Mooney can do.  But if it is a well kept airport, that's probably not a limitation...

Fast and efficient is what a Mooney does best.  Mooney pilots do the rest...

Best regards,
