Keep in mind it is easier to find a panel mount of the proper voltage vs having an external converter. Edit: some garmin units are 14/28 volt units and some are 28 only. They are all supported , BUT if you have a 28 volt non waas , and it breaks , it will have to be upgraded to WAAS , I have dual voltage units coming in the end of april...
