22 others
This was tonight's top post over at Reddit. How do you not notice a cat in the wing during pre-flight? https://youtu.be/J_8mdH20qTQ Edit: grammar. I shouldn't post after midnight. Hank
Huh . . . It seems that French cats are no smarter than American ones . . . But French microphones sure have large windmuffs!
PTK
If we don't physically observe the cat in the wing we don't know with any degree of certainty if it's dead or alive! It's fuzzy, very fuzzy indeed!!
Jeff_S
I haven't had a good laugh like that in a while...the surprise on that pilot's face was priceless. Although in the end, I do think the cat was starting to enjoy himself.
DXB
Going forward, I'm including "No feral cats in the wings and tail" as a distinct item on my preflight checklist. It's all fun and cute youtube videos until one messes with a control surface link or claws into a bladder.
Bravoman
Great video. Cat a good aviator--he didn't panic!
Guest
Notice how the cat remained calm and was always with its feet pointed toward the earth? Now we just need to install a duck for heading control and the ultra light is IFR ready. Clarence

1964-M20E
I was expecting the cat to try skydiving
FlyDave
I think the pilot did a great job of not getting alarmed (except his eyes bulging out of his head) or alarming his passenger. Some passengers would freak out and try to get the cat out of the wing (much to the cats demise...). That is one lucky cat!
chrisk
My wife was horrified, certain the cat was going skydiving without a chute. I enjoyed the annoyed expression on the pilots face at the end, and the fact that the girl was smiling
Tommy
Could've been a CAT-astrophe!!
