frankw
After a break getting back into my m20f ex (vfr) and it would be good to meet up (any location with min 600m strip) in the UK or further afield and/or plan for a euro trip. Distance is not an issue for mooniacs; we fly faster, further, and far more efficiently than most… :-) Look forward to any interest, frank
Awful_Charlie
Certainly up for that if the dates fit
frankw
Ben good to hear from another mooney fan! I'm (reasonably) flexible on dates (weekdays/ends), I think if a few good days weather open up at any time... then anywhere in Europe is do-able and I'm up for it - based at EGCL, frank. Awful_Charlie
Good stuff Frank - there are a few of us on this side of the pond - check the mooney map out (if you haven't already). I'm impressed you operate out of 600m of grass on a regular basis - a Bravo isn't blessed with the shortest of take of runs, and that would always required departing on partial fuel I think. I'm based at LFGB, and if you fancy it the coming weekend, we have our annual 'Charcroute' on the Friday/Saturday/Sunday - if you like the food and wine of Alsace come on down - no lights, IAP or customs, but we do have 1000m of tarmac and a warm welcome! July after the 10th is good for me weekdays or weekends, otherwise week days are consumed by the job. Weekends can be a bit hit and miss as they get booked up in advance! frankw
Ben thanks for that, and will keep an eye on the calendar and weather. I'm relatively new to moonies, so always good to learn from others' experiences, particularly on this forum, frank.
