mooniac15u Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Wombat was just inquiring about a Garwin cluster. mooneyspace.com/topic/14523-garwin-6-pack-engine-gauges-garwin-22-166-010/ Quote
wombat Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 Thanks for thinking of me, Mooniac15u. I've got a line on one of these already from another use here, I'm just waiting to confirm that I can use it. The one I am replacing is a 22-166-010, and the two differences are: Mounting brackets I'm confident we can make it work, a few rivets and some grinding and I should be in business. The ammeter on the 22-169-071 goes from -60 to +60 and on the 22-166-010 it goes from 0 to +60 This may be a problem, my mechanic is going to look at the schematics to see if he can make it work. I really like the idea of being able to swap the individual instruments out, which you can't do on the 22-166-010. Quote
tony Posted February 14, 2015 Author Report Posted February 14, 2015 I'll sell you mine with the shunt. Shouldn't be an issue then. Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 I think mine is a better deal at 200.00.......you should sell him yours for 150.00 Quote
tony Posted February 14, 2015 Author Report Posted February 14, 2015 Naw, why don't you sell him the shunt with it Quote
wombat Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Do I need the shunt if I'm replacing the 22-166-010? I'm all for each of you talking each other down on price. Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 The shunt you have should be good.. Quote
wombat Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Can either of you give me the serial number of the plane these came out of? My mechanic isn't finding a schematic that makes sense to him for these gauges. Quote
tony Posted February 18, 2015 Author Report Posted February 18, 2015 The part number you were looking for is for a C. The part Alan is selling you comes out of an F Quote
wombat Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Are they both the same 22-169-071 part? Quote
wombat Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 And are they both out of 1967 model year planes? Quote
Alan Fox Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 Mine is a 66 E , I am unaware of any differences , although you might want to talk to a service center.... Quote
wombat Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 The shop my plane is at is a MSC. Quote
