Automatic waste gate not working

I have a 231 with the TSIO-360 MB conversion (like a 252/262).  Last flight the boost went to 40" at full power - the automatic waste gate was not working.  Any ideas what the cause(s) might be?

Probably just need a bit of judiciously applied mouse milk.

Good point about the mousemilk however, the butterfly is operating freely.  Does anyone know if there is an adjustment on the variable absolute pressure controller?  The TSIO-360 overhaul manual is not clear about this.

Yes its adjustable and covered in the TCM maintenance manual.

Did you have the oil fully warm when you applied full throttle? My Bravo can briefly overboost by 1 or 2" if a bit fast on the throttle on the first takeoff of the day with multigrade oil at sub 130For so

I'll go back to the TCM manual to see if I can find the adjustment instructions.  Heading to the hangar this Sat to see what's up.  I'll keep the group posted.  Thanks for responding to my question, this is my first experience with the list and I appreciate the help.
