PTK
And following Bob Kromer's suggestion to get rid of that useless, for the J, RAM air helps also. I applied SI M20-93 and removed it. I was pleasantly surprised by the perceptible results.

KSMooniac
Given you need a new air induction assembly and the work involved I think that would be an expensive mod, yes? Â No, it is a very easy mod and you do NOT need a new induction box. Â You simply remove the ram air intake, and rivet a flat sheet over the hole. Â Fiberglass the hole in the cowl (best done in conjunction with a paint job), and remove the ram air cable. Â Make an entry in the logbooks. PTK
Given you need a new air induction assembly and the work involved I think that would be an expensive mod, yes? Negative! Straight forward and easy. The kit is available from Mooney and procedure is outlined in the SI. http://www.mooney.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/sim20-93.pdf Best done in conjunction with paint and/or annual. KSMooniac
How much was new induction hardware? A few dollars...some sheet aluminum I already had, a few rivets, some silicone...not much! A couple hours of work. Paint shop glassed the cowl hole shut during the paint job. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
Mooney in Oz
Congrats MooneyPilot. Â Your pride and joy is awesome! Â Can you please advise where you sourced the new switches? Â Thanks, Â Victor
NotarPilot
Yes I would be curious too? Or are they simply newly 3D printed switch covers over original switches? Or entirely new switches?
