OP ED-"Little Timmy Wants to Know Why Nobody Likes Airplanes Anymore?

Recommended Posts

Why is it when everytime I verbalize a widely observed characterization about Barry ... you bring up Reagan. McConnell or question my knowledge of history. Can't bring yourself to admit my observations of Barry are accurate?

Because you always make it sound like he's the first president to do all these things, that's why. Some of your assertions are accurate, but why not point to the weaknesses of others as well?

O'bama's "plan" is token and a joke. Just GET OUT. Let Jordan, Saudia Arabia defend their interests against an upcoming nuclear Iran. They should take the fight across the borders into Iran. THEY are the true enemy of "stability" in the Middle East. ISIS are, after all, The JV. They don't require US ground troops or sustained operations.

Get after Iran UAE and Jordan. THEY are the enemy.

Who needs Disneyland when you have the US EMBASSY POOL, eh Yemen?

Well done again US of A....Well done!

So what you are saying is that we should commit troops?

I sometimes wonder if individual's that apear to be able to read and reason are politically struck with "a case of stupid" when it comes to reading my posts...based on their responses.

On another note. Hey Libs...who think their shit doth not stink. Get some Poo Pouri and for the first time what you think about yourself will indeed be true.

I assume you were referring to me. Your response was O'bama's "plan" is token and a joke. Just GET OUT. Let Jordan, Saudia Arabia defend their interests against an upcoming nuclear Iran. They should take the fight across the borders into Iran.

When you said "Just get out" was that your opinion or is that what you feel Obama's plan is? See how it can read both ways? I read it as being that's Obama plan.

Scott is confused...Saudi Arabia and ISIS were one and the same for a little while. Saudis were funding ISIS to destabilize Syrian and Iranian influence in Iraq. It's nothing more but an religious conflict between the Sunnis on one side (Saudis and the rest) and Shia and the related Alawites. There is a very good reason Iran wants a nuke. The Sunnis have been threatening and executing ethic cleansing with Saudi, UAEs and Jordanian support for years. The problem now is, ISIS turned its focus. It's hard to control crazy.

I have a problem when you, Scott, state the 100million is the problem to 1billion+. Sounds to me a bit like you're proposing some sort of a final solution...

See my last post and it will explain wht I think of your response and interpretation...

Remember what Frank Digiorgio responded in Magnum Force to his partner Harry Callahan when Harry told him "I may have to move fast and don't need too much linguine to hold me back"?

That's my response to you.

You don't have too look too far to see that the fed is too big and we have way too many laws on the books

Nothing like armed CBP agents running around seizing Land Rovers...It's an absolute travesty when the feds, trillions in debt are simply crushing $100K cars...Land of the free my ass, watch the video below and see his shit eating grin...and the most moronic justification only a cop could stand there and recite

Well, duh? Go find some real criminals or harass a mom on her way to drop kids off at school. Which one would you rather deal with. The law dates back to Ronnie, the great defender, no pun intended, of our freedoms.

This is correct and we know the Arab Spring is an abject failure and it was the day it was characterized as such. Horrific consequences, that were foreseen well in advance, by Republican policy makers. Problem is, POTUS is hedging his bets on Iran instead of stabilizing the region with missile and air bases in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Israel. Which religious theocracy suits our interests? Certainly not Iran.

I'm not so sure that adding weapons to the region stabilizes anything. Look at the Muhjadeen. We armed them with weapons to beat the Soviets. They later became the Taliban. That went well. Oh, and Iran itself, a close ally until they threw our our little puppet in 1978.

besides we already have missile and airbases in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Israel. Plus Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, Afghanistan. And those are just the places I have flown to.

Well.....one minute, there is the absolute underestimation of a terrorist threat here is the USA and the notion that we are more likely to die of heart attacks, then there are our interests abroad as they affect a geopolitical balance of power. The Iranian regime since 1979 has shown a propensity for torture, mass killings, political dissidence of it's people, the stoning of women, the murder of gays, war, collusion with Russia, Venezuela, North Korea and any bad actor they can find. They have funded murderous activities in Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Egypt and in Europe. They have far fewer natural resources than many of their neighbors and their GDP is a 10th that of Saudi Arabia. Now they want to meddle in strategic influence over the Persian Gulf waterways and Suez traffic. Who does this?

Now if you want to find another one of your "America is bad" moral equivalencies, it ain't flying'. Sure we meddle all over the middle east, sure we kill people, sure we struggle to maintain order and influence, but do we steal? Do we usurp responsibility of restoring democracy, no matter how difficult? Does Iran, with all of their foreign activities, send doctors and researchers to to Nigeria in the fight against Ebola? Does Iran give a tenth of their GDP to foreign aid? No....they have been bad little Persians for almost 50 years, they have destabilized a major strategic section of the planet and now want the bomb. Anybody else in that region spinning centrifuges?

There are no missile bases in Iraq with first strike nuclear capability and not in any of the other countries you mentioned except (my guess) Israel and absolutely Turkey. A 36 hour convoy from Germany would have that solved in under a week. If we were still in Iraq and we had a more competent leader in office, none of these disasters would be happening. And are they disasters? Proof of my point? Obama now has to return to Iraq for a "clean up on isle five" less than two years after he and his lemmings arrogantly refused to listen to the very intelligence and military communities that serve them.

I finally got a chance to watch 60 Minutes from last night. They opened with an interesting story put together by the late Bob Simon about the treatment for Ebola. As it turns out, the American's who were treated here were given the medication and the report said all survived due to it. The manufacturing process is complicated and takes time, mainly due to the plants that have to be grown as its main ingredient - a species of tobacco of all things. The hope is that production can be ramped up so that thousands of doses can be produced, not a dozen.

The kicker of the story instantly made me think about Scott. The pharmaceutical company that first came up with the idea and the compounds was fully funded by our federal government. There was only one investor, yup, Uncle Sam.

I want to know where John gets his "facts". What country spends 10% of its GDP on foreign aid? Not us, we spend 0.19, despite what some would like to believe.

Also, I often wonder why Iranians might be a bit distrustful of us. After all, did we, or we not overthrow their "left" leaning, democratically elected government and installed the shah? Did we, or did we not fund and supply weapons to Saddam Hussein to invade them in the 80s?

John, when you quit being Fox news on repeat and start getting your historical information from sources other than your kids history books, you might make an interesting dinner companion. But in order for that to happen, first you need to get your facts straight before you start to distort them.

Also, please work on your English. Your comprehension of the verb "restore" is lacking. The only place where we could possibly be restoring democracy in the middle east would Iran. Although, as your law and order personality fully knows, paying for stolen articles is generally referred to as restitution not restoration.

Also, a quick 10 second google search clearly disproves your point in regards to Iran's natural resources. They are #3 as far as proven reserves of oil are concerned. And based on PPI, per capita, their economy is only 40% smaller than that of Saudi Arabia.

You see, when your basic underlying facts are incorrect, it's impossible to even attempt to arrive at conclusions. I'd stick to talking to a microphone and denying yourself worldly pleasures in order to experience them in the afterlife. Suits you much better than geopolitics. Under informed, faith based based policy is how we got here in the first place. We certainly do not need more of the "gut feeling", reactionary policy of the right. Where is your outrage at the 30,000 or so Americans killed each year with firearms. NRA is considerably more efficient at creating terror states side than all the middle eastern death cult followers combined.

As to your cries in regards to our first strike capabilities, it more or less confirms everything I suspect most of us on the "liberal" think about the Christian right: nutcases and death cult followers working together towards armageddon. I've stated it before and I will state it again. The only difference between the "church" and the mullahs is 600 years of hard won separation of your its fairy tales from policy realities. The Vatican would happily contribute to climate change if given a chance once again. Reason is slowly winning in the west, it will in the the east as well, eventually, unless of course, we buy into your "first strike" policies.

Ah yes...the first liberal Google hit you see, now factor military spending ...it is10%. Who was it who was deployed for 3 months risking Ebola infection? Oh yeah... our fine young men and women in uniform. I love these loooooooser websites that measure aid in flower children-hippies and bags of rice and compare the US to Sweden. Bahahahahaaaa!!!!

The people of Iran had a choice and it was not religious theocracy at any point in time. Please.

Reserves...not production, not to market. They are sixth worldwide and a fraction of (just like I said above) their neighbors around them. They produce less than Russia.

I liked you better when to were hitting the wine cellar.

Let's see.....a nation of our interests needs our help. We send help. As much as I know your kind of cocktail party crowd would like to call that "war-mongering"..........and since you can't.....what do you call it?

Oh wait....let's bring in the UN and Unicef and get their opinion........................PUH-LEEEZE!!!!

Maybe we should become neutral, so we can be like Sweden and make ourselves feel....well....conscientious.

A nation of our interest doesn't need any help and we do not deliver any help to "said" nation. We simply supply military might to their corrupt governments. That's all we do. Don't sugar coat it. UN and UNICEF probably has saved more lives with their vaccination programs alone that "Christ's Love From Above" has taken by a factor of 100x.

I've seen this movie before. You are actually worst than the tea party simpletons. You would have no issue what so ever with a 75% tax rate as long as every penny went towards "foreign aid" to get us closer to the second coming. There is very little difference between the religious rights wing of any nation if any but spinning carpet bombing capabilities as foreign aids tops even the wackos from the middle east. It makes Brian Williams look like an amateur.

Our $$$ fund Saudi Arabia which in turns funds ISIS which in turns forces us to fund Saudi Arabia...I know you like that circle jerk. I don't anymore.

I'm sorry, but if your church was not so effective at spewing bullshit in Africa, there would be no need for C17 full of AZT. And I hate to break it to you, but the greatest thing that has ever happened to the western world was precisely the introduction of reliable birth control. Only once that papal power was usurped by reason few hundred years ago and family size went down to something manageable, did the west make any progress towards elimination of poverty. Imagine China with 2+ billion now if it was not for birth control. India is finally now making progress too. This is exactly what I am talking about when I call you "a death cult follower". Sorry if I would like this planet to be around and habitable in the future.

And yes, a C17 full for porn and birth control would probably be considerably more effective in the middle east than any military solution. And bacon. In my dream world, all people of the middle east are forced to eat bacon and look at porn. A nice morning quicky, followed by eggs and bacon tends to eliminate any homicidal tendencies in me and has always worked over the years.
