Ovation engine instruments for sale

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

New to the forum - finally - after flying this AC for about 4 years.  Am upgrading some stuff in the course of getting a new IO-550N8B (removing IO-550G6B), Hartzell F7498 scimitar, and EDM-900.  All instruments in proper working order - no squawks - as of removal last week.  "Missing" numbers in instrument panel picture due to camera.

Also have a McCauley C418 prop (located in TX - shop where the work is presently being done).  Prop has 1036 hours, and is due for OH by calendar year.  Never damaged.  Plane always hangared.  Will ship anything here anywhere in the US for flat rate box price, and ship prop ~$200 (or arrange for pickup in San Marcos, TX if you want).

Prices below suggested.  Happy to negotiate / agree at whatever anyone who's interested thinks is fair.  E-mail, PM me, or post here to discuss.

* Sigma-Tek 6-pack cluster --->  $175

* Shadin fuel flow --->  $375

* EDM700 --->  $700 (EGT + CHT wires included)

* Manifold Press. (United Inst.) --->  $75

* RPM display --->  $75

* McCauley C418 prop --->  $825

Will certainly do.  The prop going on is not the "typical" F7693, but the 7498 (Minnis Aviation - STC holder) prop going on Acclaims to upgrade them to the Type-S flavor.  Notably faster, it shaves about 7 pounds off the 7693, and pays off particularly at higher altitudes.  We're also doing the fuel "neck" changes as well - going to 102gal usable (108gal total), and changing out the resistive fuel transmitters with the CIES Corporation's digital fuel level senders - commonplace on all Cirrus aircraft out of the factory.  They're accurate to within 2% of the total fuel quantity, so my fuel system will finally be reliable.

Couple of engine replacement pics below...it's only bolted on at this point.  Also a shot of an Ovation with each of the two propellers above (these two were done at anotehr shop).  Not much visible difference from the front, anyway, but indeed lighter.  Our mechanic in Texas - an absolute rock star - works 6 days a week to make Mooneys in general hum perfectly.  Very humbled and grateful to not only be able to have this work done, but done by this particular gentleman.

More pics to follow as we get into the final 2 to 3 weeks of the overall suite of conversions/upgrades.

Nice prices for an engine monitor and IFR GPS if you are in the camp of needing these devices...

LGL, you might want to update the name of your GPS in your list... KLN89   looks like the 89 fell off...?

Some automatic editing web viewers do this on occasion... Siri does it to me...

Best regards,

-a-
