AlanA
On a recent flight in my J my passenger ( a bigger fella) leaned on the headrest as he reached to the back seat, and snapped the aluminum rod that holds the headrest in the seat. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it easy to fix? In some of the old posts some people mentioned that they have removed their headrests but I couldn't determine if they were talking about the front seats or the backseats. It seems to me the only purpose of the headrest is to have the Mooney logo embroidered on to them. I don't use the headrests and don't think anyone is going to rear end me. Wondering if I should take them both out.
carusoam
There were particular Toyota headrests that were being used by some??? Best regards, -a-

AmigOne
Guilty, had a cover made by my wife in the same color as the seats cover and then had them embroidered for about $45. Don't have a picture handy but the look great.

DS1980
Just be careful using the Toyota headrests as some of their throttles may stick and send your head flying through the windshield.
Wakeup
How do you get the headrests to stay in seat and would it work on a low back seat? I haven't taken any seats apart yet but seems you would have to have a support brace.
carusoam
Apparently, many seats were made with the supports in them already. Not sure how to tell without taking them apart. Some searching of the threads may give the clues... Best regards, -a-
Wakeup
My seats do have the holes for the head rests.... Thanks for the tip. I will definitely be putting head rests back on. Thanks. Troy
