  1. Looking for working or repairable 800270-501 VR For testing purposes, do any other 28v VRs not PMA'd work in the M20R?
  2. Hello everyone. We purchased a 1967 M20C Nov. 1,2017, and are getting to know it. The Davtron M800M clock that is mounted in the pilot's yoke is inop. I suspect that the second "M" in the model number is for "Mooney". I took out the two mounting screws to look behind. I has no backup battery and is connected by two wires to what I assume is 14VDC. The unit displays nothing. Looking online, the M800M in the M20C is different shaped than the M800 (no second M) currently being sold. The one in my yoke has two mounting screws and a protuberance in the vertical direction to match the shape of the yoke, while the ones presently for sale are just square, and have holes for four mounting screws. Does anyone here know who might fix this or have one for sale? I want to start doing IFR training in this beast, but need a functioning clock. Thanks. I look forward to receiving some guidance.
  3. Not for me! A friend traded in a Porsche Mooney on a new Ovation. He then sold his Mooney and moved overseas for several years. He has been back for a while, and wants to get back into ownership. I've checked the usual places, there are very few Acclaims on the market right now. I will forward any leads to him; he may watch this thread for replies, too. Please let me know of any good ones that are, become or will soon be available. Thanks, ya'll.
  4. Looking for used M20K fuel cap. Any ideas? JM
  5. Hi All, I am trying to find a decent Mooney Rocket for a friend. I have looked at a few. Just wondering if anyone knows of any that are for-sale that might not be advertised. Also a few questions for those that have them. Did they all have GW increases? The one I saw this weekend had a GW of 3017lbs. Did most have Long range Tanks? Typical low UL around 800lbs? Did Rocket certify the prop de-ice? Were there any that were FIKI? Looking in the 125-150k price range. Thanks! -Matt
  6. First aircraft purchase. I've done a ton of research and have set my mind on getting an Encore. There are 2 on Controller and I can't find any others on aso, trade-a-plane, or barnstormers. Anyone know of others out there or have any tips on where to look? This one looks perfect, waiting for a call back from the broker: http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/MOONEY-M20K-ENCORE/1998-MOONEY-M20K-ENCORE/1253099.htm Any thoughts on how to price this one out? I've looked into moving the registration from Canada to US and it will likely be on the easy side of things since the aircraft came from the US originally (some sneaky work with Google turned this up). Many thanks in advance. Can't wait to be a Mooney owner! Nicholas
