  1. My airport is served by the infamous MXE VORTAC. What I am trying to understand is how a VOR can be out of service and an associated VOR approach (RWY24) has no NOTAM indicating that the approach is out of service? Anyone ever see this occur? So, if I file back to my airport, what will Philly approach do? This is the standing NOTAM making FROSE intersection NA.
  2. Hi All, Bruce Jaeger (former Willmar MSC owner) will be coming to my airport (N57) the week of December 4th to install his Spatial Interior product in my Mooney. The installation will be done in my hangar and Bruce will be demonstrating the installation process as well as his repair techniques for the wonderful plastic we have in our planes. If you have an interest in stopping by, drop me a PM and I will provide details on the logistics. http://www.jaegeraviation.com/sinteriors
  3. For those of you looking for something to do this month, my home airport (N57) is holding it's annual airshow on August 20th and 21st. Details of the show can be found here: http://www.newgardenflyingfield.com/index-8.html If you do head over, let me know and I will introduce myself.
  4. Hi All, Many of you know my home airport (N57) is an active place. In keeping with that tradition, the EAA Ford Tri-motor has arrived at New Garden today and will be here through the weekend. They will be providing rides and the local EAA Chapter will be hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday. If any of you are in the area, details can be found here: http://www.eaa240.org/?p=6964 If any of you Mooniacs plan on attending, drop me a PM and I will keep an eye out for you. Here are the details of the NOTAM for the event: N57 AIRPORT NOTAM View this email in your browser N57 AIRPORT NOTAM AIRPORT OPERATIONS (PLEASE READ THROUGH THE ENTIRE LIST OF UPCOMING AIRPORT NOTAMS) Good afternoon Tenants and Users of New Garden Flying Field. N57 is getting ready to kick off their aviation event season. Please note changes in daily operations below and NOTAM times for runway, taxiway and ramp closures due to events and construction projects. MAIN TIE DOWN RAMP CLOSURE Our main tie down ramp will be closed this Thursday-Sunday (June 9th-June 12th). We are excited to be working with the EAA Chapter 240 hosting the Ford Tri Motor tour. The Tri Motor will be utilizing our main tie down ramp for daily operations Thursday -Sunday. If your aircraft is currently located in this area you are fine and no further action is needed at this time. If you plan on flying into N57 during this time the AIRPORT IS OPEN but please expect special directions on parking once you arrive. Monitor UNICOM 123.05.
