  1. Hello fellow Mooniacs, If you're looking for a knowledgeable Mooney IA/Mechanic in the SoCal area, DM me for further information. This gentleman has over 15 years of Mooney specific experience and has worked at 2 MSC's. He holds several certifications from Mooney (Kerville, TX) on various systems and procedures. He has in depth knowledge on all model Mooney aircraft and troubleshooting skills that are to die for! My experience over the past 5 years has been nothing short of exceptional. He is very meticulous, detail oriented, super flexible, and reasonably priced. I know it can be hard to come across a trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic at a decent rate. Just thought I would pass this along and help others in the Mooney community. Happy and safe flying!!
  2. Hope you guys had a FANTASTIC weekend and end to March! Happy 1st of April and all April fools ASIDE, we're coming to you to let you know we will not be offering a % off this year! But, do not fear or lose heart! Right on the heels of that we are going to offer an AMAZING perk! We know annual time isn't a good time for most of you. We want to bring some joy back into those couple of days that your plane is down. We know that a hindrance of bringing your Mooney to us is all the arrangements that have to be made along with it. Starting May 1st and ending December 31st - we have an offer for every one of our traveling Mooney customers! We will cover a 2 day stay at the below linked cabin and provide you with transportation (a courtesy car) to use those 2 days! Turn your annual into a couple day vacation (bring your family if you'd like). Another great perk of this location is it is located directly behind the home of Lynn and Tamara Mace. *Please use their calendar through the link to determine the availability of the cabin. Please do not book through their site, firmly schedule with us and we'll take care of the booking. **If something happens and your annual takes longer than 2 days ( at no fault of AGL) you'll be responsible for additional days if available. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/16635667?location=Morganton%2C%20NC%2C%20United%20States&guests=1&adults=1&s=11rpI9Qm&fbclid=IwAR1IfxgAlMcX5rA9UY60TqFwxYpvwfZV6p40agWbI6UYzO5ft2hzQDAF6Vw
  3. Often we read about people having negative experiences with a maintenance shop, and often the shop is not named. Because there are 2 sides to almost all such stories, this is probably a good course of action. But that leaves us, the readers of the post, without complete data. There are lots of those threads here on Mooneyspace This isnt one of them. This is the opposite. The last few days, I have been in Morgantown, NC with AGL aviation getting an annual done by Lynn and Tamara Mace on Greg Fischer's Bravo. Greg won the annual at the Mooney Summit V's silent auction, as he thought it would be a good idea to have a new set of eyes looking over his near perfect plane as Don Maxwell has been doing the annuals for quite sometime. Most of you know how highly I think of Don. Lynn and Tamara did not disappoint. They exceeded my expectations in every way. I pitched in to "help", as it was an opportunity to really do a 4 day interview with Lynn and really learn of his skillset and his integrity. As Mooney International's newest service center to my knowledge, he really sets a bar for a lot to follow. On time, under budget, attention to detail, integrity and fairness. I could not have asked for a better experience. In full disclosure, Lynn and Tamara have given back to the Mooney Community via the Mooney Summit, like 4 other outstanding MSC's. (Premier, Oasis, Daytona, and SWTA). Thanks AGL for supporting us! If you have a parts need, or a service need, reach out to AGL, you will not be disappointed.
  4. Here is some great news for those of you in the upper Midwest. Paul Beck not only has Weep No More, but now is a partner in Oasis Aero, who has applied to be a MSC in Willmar, Mn. Bruce Jaeger is Paul's mentor and will bring back the quality that Bruce once had Willmar Aviation so well known for before he sold the business. Stacy Ellis has the application in hand. We need to see some of our top notch shops pass the torch to the next gen, like Don Maxwell is doing with his son Paul, and LASAR is doing. After an epic fail of the Willmar Aviation sale, it is great to see the possibility the MSC will now be in the capable hands of Paul Beck and Eric Rudningen. http://www.wctrib.com/news/local/4112195-oasis-aero-chosen-be-new-willmar-airport-fbo#.V9QGHckGWtA.email Website is http://oasisaero.com/
  5. Looking for a quality pre-buy for a plane located in St Louis, MO. Cant seem to get the Mooney company website to work. Can someone post a list of Mooney service centers in the Midwest or recommend a good pre-buy? Thanks Matt
