  1. Getting an early start on planning a flight out to Tucson in August. Yes, I know...August. Not the best time of year in the Southwest but that’s what the timing dictates. Was looking over some routes and realized there’s a boatload of military airspace in NM and AZ. Anybody have preferred routes they would suggest to circumnavigate all those?
  2. 1962 Mooney M20CLocated in the Atlanta West MetroTT: 4699TBO:2699Useful load: 899 LBThis Mooney was previously owned by Pat Epps and the maintained by the maintenance department at Epps Aviation. The aircraft was re-manufactured at the Mooney factory in Texas in 2003. The engine, prop, panel, fuel tanks, and the interior were all re-done. The exterior was also repainted as well as the inside of the fuselage. I purchased the aircraft last Christmas and have put over 150 hours on it this year. It has all the gap seals and all J model mods. Aircraft is based at 20GA and will NOT be re-located since me and the new partner are close to the current airport. Looking to sell each share at $12,500. Monthly cost at the current airport would be $200 a month per share and a run cost of $35 an hour. Gas is currently $3.58 a gallon. Also, the airport has a mechanic on site that does the work on the plane.Current insurance requires the following, IR rating, 750 total time, 150 in retracts, and 10 hours in make and model. If you do not have this a checkout by a CFI that meets this requirement is required. If you have any other questions let me know.
  3. Hello, all - Need a Mooney-experienced CFI for my BFR near Atlanta. I'm available only on Aug. 8th, 9th and A.M. of the 10th. Long-body experience would be best. Michael O'Neal would be a great choice, but I cannot get my plane over to KPDK. Plane is hangared at 20GA in Villa Rica. Any suggestions? Chuck
  4. Hello, all - Need a Mooney-experienced pilot to ferry my Bravo from 20GA to McCollum Field to get avionics repairs. (My BFR is expired.) Also need to do the BFR, obviously. I tried Jim Stevens, but he won't be available when I'm in town, Sep 26th & 27th. I'm working out-of-state in Philly, so I have only limited opportunities to do things with my plane. I *could* get a BFR in, say, a C-172 here in Philly, but I really need to fly in my own plane. I've been out of the cockpit for over 2 years. Anybody know someone?
  5. Hello Anyone on the South Side of Atlanta. My Fiance' (aka the Banker) would like to check out a Mooney while I am deployed to see if this is the route we want to go. She has already approved of a V-Tail, and likes the look, ride and fit of the Bonanza. I am leaning to a Rocket but her worry is will we like it for long trips. She is NOT a stick. She's got curves. So she has "heard" that Mooneys are TIGHT. She is also working on her PP Written and will then start taking lessons. So, IF anyone is in the area, can show her - or better, take her up.... that would be much appreciated. Thanks, Martin
