  1. Every time AOPA membership comes up for renewal, I have to stop to think about what AOPA has done for us. Every time I feel disappointed in the organization, that the dues are too high relative to the benefits, don't care about getting a 6th AOPA hat, don't feel that AOPA is doing much to support GA in Washington, and let my membership lapse. Then eventually something compels me to renew, usually an insurance discount or maybe a good move by AOPA on the political front. So in the last year and the year ahead, what is AOPA doing for us that makes them merit our support? Why shouldn't I just let me AOPA membership lapse again?
  2. Just a quick note of public thanks to George for having joined the Mooney family and letting the AOPA use his plane in so many promotional ways. I see it in advertisements and it even got the December centerfold shot in the AOPA calendar (well, it's a fold-out anyway!). Thanks George!
  3. Just received one of those never ending AOPA emails! I looked then looked again... Surprise I see a friend of mine Keith and looking closer I see my ol mug...... so I guess you never know what you'll see in one of those AOPA email!! Also in this photo is Keith... aka Flynnupe94 a great guy but not much help polishing the ol bucket of bolts... unless you count.. "you missed a spot there & there & there.... lol I understand Flynnupe94 now has a Rocket as well.... he is a quick learner!
  4. Do you know anyone deserving of a flight training scholarship, a young person with big dreams and a desire to take to the skies? In an effort to support outstanding student pilots, the AOPA Foundation will be awarding 25 scholarships, ranging from $2,500 to $12,000, in 2015. Scholarship applications are due on Sunday, August 9, 2015 and winners will be announced on Friday, October 2, 2015.
