  1. I have a nice 1979 Mooney Rocket 305 I am considering selling a share, or two, or three. I own too many planes (if there is such a thing) and N231BG needs to be flown more and enjoyed by the right person/s. Airframe and engine times are low, and the fully feathering prop is new. The annual was just completed and a new turbo was installed. The panel is full of Garmin stuff to include a 530 and 430W. There is even a Garmin 695 on the yoke (3 GPSs with moving maps!). She has an HSI, coupled autopilot, Stormscope, PCAS, oxygen, engine monitor, fuel flow monitor, AM/FM/CD player, and Ipod input. Outside, there are strobes, speed brakes, lower gear covers, and a one-piece belly. This is a great plane for the person who likes to fly high and fast for his/her personal and business trips. The plane is currently hangared at Wellington Airport (EGT) but could be relocated to my hangar at Cook Airfield (K50). 1/4 share for $40k and 1/2 share for $80k. We can split the monthly costs (hangar, insurance, etc.) based on our appropriate share and, if interested, charge an hourly fee to cover maintenance reserves and keep things proportionally fair by the heavy flyer. I have an online scheduling service we can use to avoid the possibility of conflicts. The 76' x 90' hangar at Cook has a remote control 50' hydraulic door and is having a heated and cooled clubhouse constructed with bathrooms, kitchen, computer, WIFI, TV, etc. that may be used by the new partner/s. Contact me if you are interested and we can discuss the partnership further. Jason (316) 708-0713 or jasonwojo@msn.com
  2. From the album: My M20J

Here is a picture of my 1987 M20J which is not only my first Mooney, but my first airplane. She is sitting on the ramp at Lantana airport in W Palm Beach. We picked her up there and flew her to her new home in Henderson (Las Vegas) Nevada.
  3. From the album: My M20J

Here is a picture of my panel. IFR certified. Nice MFD coupled to the GPS.
  4. So I picked up the plane from ArtCraft. Much thanks to Mitch for looking over the project and TomCullen for giving me a ride to pick her up today. Not too many people do a refresh of a classic scheme, using new paint, so I thought it might be of interest. Anyway, here's how it came out:
  5. So I departed FDK for a quick trip to the coast to check on a property. After lift off, I raised the gear handle and immediately got an aural warning (quick beeps) and a "gear unsafe" light on the annunciator panel. I looked down and the green ball wasn't in the window. I did two fly-bys for Frederick tower to have a look. They told me the nose gear looked "angled backwards". They pulled a file photo on the second fly-by and soften their interpretation. I tried cycling the gear again and got the warning lights and annunciator, except this time I looked down and the green ball was back in the window. I landed uneventfully and thank you Frederick tower. I have owned this a/c almost 15 years and never had a gear problem. Any ideas based on symptoms? Similar experiences? The a/c was towed in recently for pitot-static, altimeter and xponder, but what could they have done to it? (1979 201)

  7. Little vid of my 2 hour trip to work from just west of Calgary, Alberta (Springbank) to Fort McMurray, Alberta...and some of the, uhhh, sights? along the way... later, M.
  8. http://youtu.be/AYkWtlnnlbI Brief trip to try out a couple new cameras..(thats what i keep checking on the cell phone) camera has wi-fi connection to the phone...wasn't sure if it'd stay attached ! Later, M.
  9. Hmm, note to self..check trim before take-off..good reason to follow the checklist !

Something Mooney can use, if they ever come back, like the Phoenix we all know they are.
  12. My partner and I are selling our Mooney. It is a 1977 M20J with low 2900 TTAF and 900 SMOH. The airplane is very nice and well equipped. It has a GNS530W, KX-155, JPI EDM-700, Panel mounted Garmin Aera560 synced with the 530, KMA-24 Audio Panel, Intercom, KFC-200 A/P w/ Flight Director, Stormscope, SL70 digital transponder, new turn/bank coordinator, new altimeter, fire exstinguisher, and window shades. The aircraft has been hangared and has no damage history. The fuel tanks were resealed last year by Paul at Weep No More. Tires are good. Paint is an 8 and the interior is a 7. The leather is in pretty good condition but the plastic is getting brittle like all Mooneys this age. We love this bird and she flies beautifully. We are asking $89,000. The airplane is based at KGEV, Ashe County airport in West Jefferson, NC. If you are interested, email my partner at elliotbigman@gmail.com. Let him know you saw the airplane on Mooneyspace.
