  1. I'm looking for a nice pair of Mooney logo cufflinks. Does anyone know if they sell them?
  2. Sent mine to Tony and the results were absolutely amazing.
  3. Any links to a good batter minder. How exactly do they work?
  4. Looks like other than being a few mm off in either direction, size wise, they're almost identical. The concord does weigh a few pounds more... I'm thinking that the plastic insert to keep the battery from bumping might be a problem as the concord has its own plastic piece between the posts.....
  5. Hi, Looks like my M20E only got about 1.5 years out of its last Gill battery which was installed by the previous owner during an annual. In reading the forums here, it looks like everyone agrees that Concorde http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/rg35a.php is the way to go. Would this be a simple swap out? Or would the battery box need to be replaced. Here is a pic of the current setup. I'm not expert but the idea of the battery box being metal and open terminals make me a little concerned. imag
  6. Dont see XFL on there. Am I the only one that thinks this is good news? I hate dealing with my tower. Nice people and all, but the airport functioned just fine before they were there.
  7. I wish I would have known before just ordering a quart! That stuff looks interesting.
  8. Is that access panel only used when repairing fuel tanks, or is it opened during an annual inspection?
  9. They make this stuff out to be super easy to use... wondering if anyone here has experience with it: http://www.shopknots2u.com/store.php?crn=225&rn=830&action=show_detail
  10. Interesting. I wonder what you would dilute it with?
  11. So the black wing walk compound on my 64 M20E is faded and gray. Can I just paint over it with a fresh coat of compound? If so, how should I prep the old compound. Would this work? http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cspages/randolphwingwalk.php Thanks!
  12. I had a Dual GPS and it broke in 2 months. I've been using the iPad internal GPS for 1000 mile x-country flights. Not one single problem.
  13. "Passenger's knees got in the way of the ailerons (right left yoke)" This seems to happen with all passengers and yes, including several instructors. It's never caused an issue, in fact, we usually uncover it during the runup checklist "flight controls free and correct". Unless I'm doing steep turns in flight, it's never been an issue, but I have made "passenger free of controls" a check list item for landing.
  14. Has anyone here been able to touch up flaking paint around rivets? Any tips, ideas? Where would you get the paint? What about prep? I have a lot of flaking paint around rivets and such. Thanks!
