  1. Do you need the acu 100 and the ea-100 modules to drive the KFC OR A KAP from the Aspen max
  2. I have a brand new set of 1.5" rudder pedal extensions that I purchased bur my 84 J only to realize there was already a set installed. Is anyone interested in them?
  3. yes you can cancel in the air with ATC but towers no longer automatically cancel when you land so you have to call in if you have not already cancelled with ATC in the air.
  4. Same way just a different phone number. In Canada you call 1-866-WXBRIEF (992-7433)
  5. I have had great success with doing everything as above with one small change. I push the mixture to rich then back to full lean once before cranking and engine always starts within a few blades. We used this proceedure on a Pitts Special I used to own and it has always worked.
  6. If your still looking I will have one in about a week. We are putting in a JPI EDM-830. The current unit works fine.
  7. Thanks I had not looked at that unit. It seems to be about the same cost with the GPS interface as the AK-451 is without it.
  8. Has anyone done the upgrade from the Ameri-King AK-450 ELT to the 406 Mhz AK-451. Found our 450 dead in the process of importing a J into Canada and need to replace so might as well go to a 406 Mhz unit. Is the AK-451 really plug and play replacement.
  9. Is there an STC available to increase the gross weight on an 84 J to 2900 Lbs?
