  1. To remove lead and soot, try Hoppes 9. This was developed to clean lead and soot from gun barrels. Simply wipe on, wipe off. Fastest belly cleaner on the planet. Have found no negative effects on the paint. You can get it at Walmart for a few bucks. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  2. Plane is sold. Thanks for the comments and interest. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  3. Plane is now at AGL Aviation at KMRN in line for its annual. First time for me at the airport. It is a very nice field and the AGL folks are great to work with.
  4. Bob,

This is Bob with N1048D which is for sale.    I am bringing her in to AGL on Monday for an annual.  You had indicated the possibility of a ride back to Shelby in your E.   If you are still available, let me know.  I would be happy to pay for fuel and lunch.   Otherwise, I am trying to make arrangements...not so easy.

Bob, wow, timing doesn't work... I had some surgery last Monday and I won't be in flying condition for another week or more.

Have you asked Tamara or Lynn? Shelby is less than a 30 minute flight, we ought to have someone there that would be happy to take you there for the gas. Ask about Larry Falls, @Marcopolo... I suppose they have others... perhaps someone after work...

Thanks, Bob.  I hope your recovery is going well.  I have arranged a ride back to Shelby.  Maybe I'll  see you after the annual.

  5. My plan is to have the annual at AGL Aviation at KMRN near Morganton, NC. We are working on the middle week of August. Should be able to confirm soon. I am hopeful that Shelby Cleveland airport finishes up its runway soon. That is where N0148D is now. Bob
  6. I believe the useful load is 951 lbs. Must be the extra equipment compared to Lancecasper estimate. I can provide the exact number and the equipment list when I get back home in a few days.
  7. I was at Vero Beach hangared at Sun Aviation until May. Now in Shelby, NC, but plan to move to Rutherford County, NC airport in the next month or so...closer to summer home.
  8. I think this plane would be very typical of Bravos. All my flying for the last few years has been quite low (5 to 10,000 ft) because my trips are fairly short. At low altitudes, I get around 165-170 mph at 18 mpg runnning at 2200rpm and 28 in MP (rich of peak). I know for sure I can get much higher speeds ( I have gone over 200 at around 20GPH)and efficiency at higher altitude and higher power, but I just did not need it in general and cannot remember the conditions If you are new to Bravos, you can check out the specs on this or other sites. I took the Mooney Pilot Proficiency Program a couple of times and learned that the performance in general was typical of Bravos. I would be happy to check out a few conditions on this particular plane if you are interested in purchasing. My airport is out of commission for a couple more weeks since they are repaving the runway. Then the plane will be going in for an annual. Let me know your thoughts. Best regards, Bob
  9. Looking for a sale. I will sell N1048D now for $190K and after annual in August maybe for $195K. I think this is an incredible deal on a great plane. Because the pricing is so low, I am also considering keeping the plane after the annual and just flying more. If you are interested, please let me know soon. Bob 610-613-0688 rmininni@yahoo.com
  10. Hi Bike_rider, thanks for the comment. She is indeed a fine travel machine. I wish I was in a buying cycle and not on the selling side. Anyway, I am enjoying the plane now. Just did a BFR and had lots of fun pushing on the edges. The instructor was amazed at how much "warning" you get on the stall and how well behaved the stall is. I see your bird is an M20J. I think these are among the best Mooneys ever built for short to medium hops. My first Mooney was a J model. Bob
  11. Just to let you know, we will be doing an annual soon (August) at an MSC in North Carolina. Great opportunity to see the ins and outs of the airplane... We are here for the summer and in the Florida Keys in the winter.
  12. Thanks for the comments. This is an incredible airplane, but I just don't fly as much now as I used to years ago. Maybe I should just start flying more...

  17. Powertow EZ40 - Vero Beach Fl area I have a used Powertow EZ40 set up for my Mooney for sale. The unit in in good condition generally and works very well. The only issue is the tire losing pressure after a few days - probably needs reseating or maybe the valve. Reply directly or via email at rmininni@yahoo.com Thanks, Bob
