  1. I already have a partner (possibly two) and looking for another for a particular plane we have in mind to purchase. Send me an email if you're interested, thanks!
  2. Thanks for the info, this is for a plane I might be considering purchasing. I was told the 3 blade helps some with climb performance, but I guess ultimately I need to test fly it and see how it performs.
  3. If you add the 201 windshield and cowling, along with gap seals on the empennage and wing roots, will an early F be as fast as a J model? Doesn't the J also have a fairing on the vertical stabilizer? Although on a pre-1970's F, it should have a slightly less empty weight with the manual gear/flaps... How much speed do you lose with a 3 blade McCauley prop? Thanks!
  4. Is that with any speed mods? What altitude and MP/RPM? Thanks
  5. I did a lot of searching but wasn't able to find it for C models. What are you guys seeing for an early M20C model ('64-66) for TAS and fuel burn? On purchasing a used one, do you think I could expect at least 140 kts on 10gph? This would be stock, no speed mods. I think this is what the POH says, but I thought it was on the high side.
  6. I found a nice J model that I'd like to get into a partnership with (perferably 3 others). Send me a PM if you're interested, thanks!
  7. Thanks all for the info, that's another thing I noticed (the gross weight). Do you know what a typical empty weight/useful load is on the B model? I'd like to get as close to the 650lb. payload with full fuel as possible...
  8. I was looking at a 1961 M20B and was wondering the differences to the C model. I heard that some older C models have 48 gallon tanks instead of 52, is that true of the B model as well (having 48?) Also, are there any downsides in the different variation of the O-360? Does the B model have the same performance as a C model?
  9. If you are interested in a Mooney partnership in Sacramento (or surrounding areas - Davis, Cameron Park, Lincoln, Lodi) please let me know. I'm looking at an M20C with 3-4 partners and have one other already interested. Send me a PM or email.
  10. I'm located in northern CA and am trying to find a place to rent a pre-J Mooney, anyone know of any places? I'd like to get into a partnership in one (located close to Sacramento) but would like to get some time in one first (such as cross country time to see if I'm comfortable with the size). If I'm not able to find a C or E model, are F, J or K models all the same width? So for testing purposes, I can assume (minus the stretched cabin) they're the same?
