The auto trim has not been working properly. once set to ALT mode the A/P holds for about 3-4 minutes then of course it wants to trim..the trim light and alarm automatically come on and I never can feel the trim wheel move or try to move. the manual rocker trim switch works fine and disables the A/P when touched. the A/P functions all work fine except that part. We had the pitch servo replaced and when ground tested it worked fine...today it is doing the same thing again, any thoughts, guesses, suggestions? has this happened to anyone else? I actually flew an ILS down to minimums on A/P APR mode and it works great but the alarm ringing for 45 min or more is quite annoying...

Our A&P said don't use them when not moving. The airflow is the only thing that keeps them cool.

I did not order that part from them only the plexi recog. light covers, they do not sell only the white plastic switch itself just the whole mechanism. so we are will be searching...I cannot find the part # for it either again it just shows the whole thing.

They only sell the whole switch system so I will look for another piece elsewhere..I just ordered some plexi light covers from them I hope it does not take 6 months...

The A&P said this was also in the POH..learn something new everyday. It is only the recog lights not the strobes. we have been doing a lot of night flying and we were leaving them on so lesson learned. Lasar has them in stock.

yes, they did....they should not be used when on the ground......so far $135 each.....shop wanted $250 each.

I need 2 plexi covers for the recog. lights on the outboard "K" model wings, any suggestions?

maybe the rigging needs to be checked then, because its not just on climb out, I have to keep it on during cruise all the time.

I believe it has to do with IPAD not having flashplayer...the AOPA forums use a different form type to enter not flashplayer..go figure..

Best place to get the white rocker switch for 83' M20J? just the plastic switch itself not the whole assembly. Thanks

we did not fully lean down yet, I took that pic just as we got to our alt. we were generally running at 11.5 -11.9 more for speed test than economy at that point.
