  1. I bought my E with a "Stinger Tail" stc looking similar to this version. As mine has all the lasar/ lopresti speed mods I think it was part of an upgrade for speed. Works well as I reach/ outrun book values.
  2. For a new paint I can recommend Aeroclub Vysoke Myto in LKVM. They did a great job on our Mooney taking care of all the little issues that arise over time. Our M20E came back almost like new. Gesendet von meinem GT-N5100 mit Tapatalk
  3. Here is a picture of my newly painted M20E. It combines classic and modern Mooney schemes and intends to provide a timeless design. Gesendet von meinem GT-N5100 mit Tapatalk
  4. Hi, when you fly in Europe on the N Register you can download an FAA noise certificate which you can fill out and sign as the operator. As always a practical solution provided by the FAA. Never had problems with the acceptance. Gesendet von meinem GT-N5100 mit Tapatalk
  5. Hallo Urs, I bought my fully converted E model N30EG (was HB-DEG before) including Monroy long range tanks. The weight is 1769 pounds and I fly her usually at 65% power with 9-9.5 gal and 145-150 kts. With that I calculate for 8 hrs safe endurance fully fueled....
  6. Great, thanks for the input. Yes, I changed from AeroShell to Total Aero 15W-50 (Mooney located in Europe) about 20 hours ago. I will check the Airmotive SB and switch back to AeroShell. Frank
  7. Hi Everyone, since last weekend I have a problem on my 1965 E fuel injected IO360. The fuel pressure needle increasingly started to "dance" over the whole green arc over the last couple of flights. With boost pump on the same result at a slightly higher fuel pressure. Now additionally my No 4 cylinder stops firing about 5 seconds after starting the engine, then comes back about 20-30 seconds later. This happens equally with a warm and cold enginge. Mags have been o'hauled 10 hours ago and seem to be fine. I wonder if that could be a fuel pressure problem. Does anyone have any experience with such a phenomenon? Thanks, Frank
  8. I have an E Model Super 21 with the short body, 200 horses, retrac step and all availabe Lopresti mods there are on the market. Luckily I bought it recently - for the price of an E-model- and I am redlining it already at 75% in FL65, definately outperforming a J. But that is the only aircraft I have ever seen having all these mods and it was a great choice. But I also don´t care about those 2"of more legroom in the back and having it to slow down to 100 kts on short final to get the gear and flaps out -if you just experience once the words of a young guy behind the screen asking you to stay below 250kts! The G won´t perform like that
  9. I have bought a fully modified 66 Super 21 and it has this funny tail and every loPresti mod there is out there. I dont believe its the tail, but I am doing 170 kts true at 75% in FL65 (redlining it almost at 160 IAS). Maybe I get a picture attached to this message:
  10. I have them installed, they provide a little less than 5 kts true. I have to get the gear up before 80 kts/90 mph otherwise it gets too heavy. If I am too fast I just increase the climb angle and retract then. I started to fly with this mod and it got a piece of cake after the second pattern. Regards
