  2. I think the gryo goes on the brackets on the middle (#2 of 3) picture. CG Position = 110ish. Brittain is great to work with on these issues.

  4. My bad Dukes pump had worn bearings. It was louder and louder over time. Pressure was fine.
  5. Please get an IA/AP involved to fix it. Please remember people on this forum want to help. However it is your butt in the plane and your responsibility to ensure the plane is airworthy. On my plane, sometimes a simple fix is all that is needed. Sometimes it is the start of a long journey. Regards, Jared
  6. Here is what I did (with an IA over the shoulder) Take a hand vacuum pump with a built in gauge and ensure it is accurate. I checked mine against two shop calibrated gauges and it was spot on. Connect the hand pump to the back of the gauge in the panel (make sure you note which is the vacuum and which is the vent) Slowly pump a vacuum and watch the gauges. The one in the panel read 3" at 5" on mine.
  7. On my plane the vacuum gauge on the panel was way off. I'd check the vacuum gauge against another gauge or two as one of the first steps.
  8. Hi Jim, I'll buy it if it is still available. Regards, Jared Davis KVGC
  9. I think you have a 68C. The toggle switches in the plane are a combination switch/breaker. The referenced new parts appear to be switches only. The term "you might as well" may come up in the quote process. New switches->someplace to put breakers->New panel->new radios in the new panel->...
  10. I recently sent my Dukes 4140-00-21A fuel pump (M20C) to AEROMOTORS, LLC for a rebuild. They replaced just about everything. It was 400 + shipping. Search for "DUKES"
  11. Rocketman, Can you provide more information on the reliability issue? Did you call the device to activate it or did you use a text command or? A voice call has no feedback. The text commands appear to return a confirmation text. Regards, Jared
  12. I would call Brittain first. Anyone have any experience with RCA 2600-2 SERIES DIGITAL ATTITUDE GYROS? Looks like it would be a 3AMU hit.
  13. My 65C has a normal turn and bank indicator. The PC stuff is a separate gyro in the mid section. The IPC shows 65 and 66 have the gryo in the mid section. 67+ have it mounted to the turn and bank indicator.
  14. Search google using these key words mooney MAPA flying by the numbers download the pdf, look around page 149 Short answer - use at your own risk: key number = rpm / 100 + mp 2400/ 100 = 24 + 24 mp = 48 46 = 65% 49 = 75% (from MAPA doc) Double check with your POH.
  15. I have a 65 C with a dog house. When we are jacking it for an annual there is no time difference to follow the SI. We pull off the top of the doghouse to inspect the engine anyway. The lift point is adjusted from the stowed position in about 30 seconds. On my plane, it takes much less than 1hr to remove the top cowl and the top of the doghouse.
  16. What Hank said. Call Brittain. Perhaps your system is not even on. What happens on the taxi test? Near the end of my taxi run I turn a little right and watch the yoke go left. Then turn a little left and watch the yoke go to the right. There is probably a better write up in the POH or Brittain manual. I do it near the end of the run to give the gyro time to spin up.
  17. Perhaps Verizon's proxy doesn't like more than one 301 hop? http://mooneyspace.com=> 301 Location: http://mooneyspace.com/page/index.html http://mooneyspace.com/page/index.html => 200 Zane- Got a sample URL that fails?
  18. Did you see the pictures at the bottom of this page? They show a Mooney on a flatbed. http://www.airmodsflightcenter.com/modifications-and-repair/main
  19. This is covered by a SB. http://www.mooney.com/images/pdfs/sb-pdf/sbm20-263.pdf
  20. I don't have an answer. The Orion 600 instruction sheet has this step: 11. Update aircraft records, complete Form 337 and obtain FAA field approval for installation, as required. Love the "as required" dump back on the installer. What beacon part did you use?
  21. I use a ContourGPS w/o connection to the airplane power. The battery usually lasts about 1:40 for me. Did you try re-formatting the card? http://help.contour.com/customer/portal/articles/251040-how-do-i-format-the-microsd-card- Charge the battery just prior to the flight. The battery does seem to lose a full charge after a day or two. I manually start it since the iphone app was always a little buggy for me. Settings (from my memory) gps at 2hz, 720p "Med" Hope this helps.
  22. Call Brittain: (918)836-7701
  23. It does look confusing for 1966 since multiple pages with different text are marked as valid for that year. 1966 = sheets 18-23 of http://www.mooney.com/images/pdfs/mark20c_afm.pdf And for some reason, 1966 is listed also on sheets 24-31. I don't know which one should be used. Send an email to Mooney?
  24. Hi Robert, My '65 C has a separate 8.5 x 11 notebook with the arms. I think this info is available on the mooney.com website under the AFM section. What year do you own? Regards, Jared
  25. Can the G series set off an external alert when a limit is exceeded?
