  1. Biden Air @ Kilg hanging strong at $8.50 gal, gotta love it.
  2. Pretty good, my temps are nice low and consistent. Never know if I did it totally correct don’t have a handle on if my oil consumption is really stabilized. With the flying weather in the NE and Mid Atlantic plus Biden occupying our airport I haven’t flown much in last two months. The plane is smooth and generates good power, this spring I’ll have a better idea when we start our long trips. Basically I followed the procedures in the Continental engine manual which is really good. I think the first couple hours are the most important hopefully I did it ok in that period. I had 5-6 long, over 1000 mile trips, since like mentioned the temps are awesome.
  3. I recently broke in new cylinders in my acclaim. Here’s Mike Busch article 2021-07-28 0830 F7 Cylinder Break-In Do it Right.pdf
  4. Richard this is now a Tesla site..
  5. Patrick I had no issues with hot start’s although I had electronic ignition and fine wire plugs, my Bravo had about 1004 useful load. Obviously no vacuum pump etc. You should love the Bravo in my opinion the best and best valued plane made by the Mooney Factory and I own an Acclaim. I’d get good transition training from your C to the M, there is a difference down low. Flying over the country as you laid out your bravo should suit you well. I love that Lycoming power plant. Good luck D
  6. Agree Jimmy sold my Bravo and I purchased my Acclaim through Richard. Both great and knowledgeable
  7. I imported my Acclaim in 2023 from Canada, need to have all your ducks and procedures in a row. Much worth hiring someone experienced in importing to US
  8. BD what is that black leather case below the MFD where the a/p was?
  9. I recently read your article on speed brakes use, which was very helpful to me even a 4000 hour 35 years flyin Moonies, I’d suggest you all read his article which is quite informative D
  10. In fairness Lance didn’t start anything political, just mentioned an article regarding our aircraft.
  11. I have a friend that bought a new Cirrus about 3-4 years ago which he says is much more comfy than my Mooney except for a long flight, he prefers the Mooney by a large margin if he has to fly more than 2 hours, he mentioned the fatigue factor is much better in the Mooney go figure it’s similar to I guess the Aerostar D
  12. Dave king schools has a nice G1000 program I got years ago, you can use it for years with your appropriate log in. I’ve had numerous products I like this the best. D
  13. Mike things have gotten crazy since the pandemic, we’re busier than ever, after years of basically no or near no tax audits they are stepping up to audit more returns. I’m actually friends with a few IRS auditors who are retiring due to the increasing amount of audits. Luckily most returns are vanilla being pretty simple and won’t be affected by the increased pressure.
  14. When we do a corporate, partnership or other type of non personal returns we don’t charge for the personal returns. At least the business’s can deduct the cost of the return.
  15. How do you get that information on ForeFlight
  16. Nice articles Don, the one regarding the speed brakes answered my questions. I’ll read the other articles great information. D
  17. You’ll love the Modine it will heat the hanger quite fast. I leave mine on 45* and if I’m flying the next morning I’ll set it at 58* never have to sit in a cold seat.
  18. I haven’t landed with the speed brake’s deployed but talked with a couple that always landed in that configuration. I was told by the previous owner of my Acclaim that he always used them. Who are the long body pilots that land with them deployed and the results. Is float diminished, landing roll any change in handling characteristics. I didn’t see anything in my POH I’d like to know if there is any benefit. The person who purchased my Bravo is being taught landing with them deployed. D
  19. I heard from a member of the safety foundation and just read in the Mooney Flyer of Ted. He was a wonderful person and great Mooney pilot, teacher and ambassador for the Mooney community. I’ve been attending their safety program for years, the first encounter and instructor was with Ted. A soft voiced guy, helped teach me how to fly our machines. Kinda of depicted stuff I had no clue about including life stuff. He will be greatly missed among Mooney pilots. I’m a better pilot and person due to people like Ted. We will miss you Ted. RIP
  20. Just sent my hours etc, to the agent for March renewal.
  21. If you are so am I I got a large umbrella a few years ago.
