  2. Engine monitors and data collection seems to be the new wave of the future. This is a new thread so how about some ideas on how to create sub categories to collect the date. Maybe create a list of problems/issues: Sticking valves burned/failing valves clogged injectors clogged air filters. failing/bad plugs. failing/bad plug wires. bad probes. high/low egt's high/low cht's induction manifold leaks timing out of spec Fuel pressure issues. fuel pressure issues. Maybe post grafts showing before and after images. I know MB is a source of data but you have to pay for some of it. Why not establish our own library/collection of data/information? Thanks,

  5. Carl over at Houston Tank Specialists has about 18 of the different versions of the gauges.
  6. Depending on where you live in Houston, there's the Eagle Lake airport just to the west of Houston. Hangars run about $225 to $300 a month. Fuel is considerably less than in Houston. Airport was updated last year. There's the Mooney service shop located there. Its Houston Tank Specialists. They provide full service and repairs as well as striping and resealing the tanks. Several Mooneys are based there. One of the owners is a Mooney CFI.

  19. I always check the nose gear when I arrive at an FBO that will be moving our plane. I also check it when I preflight the plane. We had an FBO over turn our nose gear and damage it. We had to sue them and we won the judgement.
  20. This is the lower trim strip around the windshield that is removed when replacing the windscreen. I bought it when replacing my windshield but did not use it. It is new, part # 310315-001. It will fit the J's and up. I am in Houston. Price $190 plus shipping.
  21. I am a CFI-CFII in Houston. Owned an 'E' model for 16 years. 'J' model now for 4 years. Specializing in transition training.
  22. That's my plane on page 4. King Radio bought the 79 J new and put all of their equipment in it. They did their STC certifications in it. Ended up with a KFC-150 and radar altimeter in it.
